This was Jack's first camping trip that he remembers (we went to Yellowstone when he was 2 but he doesn't recall...), and Peyton's first ever. They had a blast, mainly because it was so muddy and they got to be crazy dirty for 3 days and it was ok. We had a great time hanging out with family, roasting marshmallows, fishing, and relaxing.

We just got a zoo pass and have gone a few times lately. The first time we went with my Mom and Dad, two sisters and their kids, Tanner and Ibon (my Mom's Spanish exchange student). Zoorasic Park is going on now and Jack was LOVING it. He was a little bummed, though, when he discovered a wire behind a dinosaur and said they were tricking us :)

Jack graduated from Barneck Preschool on May 25th and was SO excited...can you tell? They had a really cute program where he got to play a detective and some popcorn :) He is such a smart boy and we love him so much!

Girls Weekend!

On May 13-15th, my Mom and sisters (Hilary, Lynlee, and Jill) went to Boise for a much-needed girls getaway. We ate lots of yummy food, played games, ran a 5k, and best of all saw Wicked! It was such a great weekend, I love me some girl time!

Josh graduated with his Masters from USU on May 6th. It was such a great day and we are so proud of him :) It was an emotional day for me because I am so thankful for my hardworking, dedicated husband who worked relentlessly for this achievement. Also because it's been such a long road and I am grateful it is finally over!

My Mom was visiting the Reeds for the weekend in RS a while ago, so we had my Dad and Tanner over for Sunday dinner. I was opening a bag of salad (with a large bread knife cause why wouldn't you??) and cut my finger wide open right as they got here. It was bleeding so bad that we couldn't tell how deep it was, but I hate going to the Dr so I told everyone I was fine and just wrapped it up.

After putting it off through dinner, Josh and my Dad MADE me go to Instacare just in case. It was actually good that my Dad was here so he could watch the kids while we went. Turns out it wasn't bad at all and they just glued it shut, but you couldn't tell that by the gigantic bandage they put on it!

The Dr was really funny and told us salad injuries are the #1 injury they see around there :) When we got back to the house, Peyton had fallen asleep on the couch - now I'm thinking my Dad should babysit more often!

My Lil 'Sweet P'

Peyton will be 2 next month (crazy!) and she is definitely acting like a typical 2 year old. She wants to do everything by herself and lets you know when she's not getting what she wants. She is talking so much and learning what seems like a million new things everyday. She is such a character :)

As I said before, she LOVES to wear my shoes. My closet is basically her favorite place at the moment. This is the outfit she put together the other day, complete with one of my necklaces. I think I have a little fashonista on my hands!

I got her some cereal the other day and went upstairs for a minute. When I came back down she was eating it with one of my mixing spoons. I don't think she got much in her mouth, but she was sure trying!

My kids are crazy, it's true! They are so fun and silly, I love it. I swear Peyton isn't always just running around in a diaper, but she happened to be when I got these two shots of her. This girl LOVES shoes and wants to wear mine all the time. She also like to get out the pots and pans, and apparently she also likes to sit in them :) Jack just had to get in on the action too, I guess.

Witches Night Out

Some of my best friends and I went to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village on Oct 22nd. I had never been and it was so fun! The whole place is decorated for the holiday, there's music, shopping and almost everyone is dressed up as witches! We didn't dress up as you can see, but next year for sure!

Halloween

They had so much fun and I loved taking them trick-or-treating! He was a pro and probably could have gone all night, she didn't quite get it. Jack started preschool in September and has absolutely loved it! It's so fun to see him excited to go to school, and learning so much. He comes home everytime with something new to tell me or show me, and it makes me so happy :) I love my lil school boy!

So...the top picture kind of speaks for itself, but a while ago Peyton got a little curious about her dirty diaper. I like her to always have a onesie on (I don't know why, I just do and was like that with Jack as well), but had taken it off because it was a hot day. Well I went to get her from her nap and walked in on this little gem of a moment. She had it in her hair, ears, mouth, under her fingernails - yuck! It was gross, but she was still so happy and didn't even care. Needless to say, she has rarely been without a onesie since.

The next picture just makes me laugh. Peyton loves to get my bras out and try to wear them. Usually she just hangs them around her neck and walks around all proud of herself. This time Josh rigged it up so it looked like she was actually wearing one. She is a silly little thing.

Lil Miss Climber

Peyton LOVES to climb...on everything! Anything that she can climb on, she does - and quickly. She was trying to climb on the table when she fell, right before I could catch her. Poor thing got a black eye, it was so sad to look at. You'd think this would give her the hint to quit it, but I think it just made her more determined. Maybe this skill will come in handy one day :)

Jack's 4th Birthday

Jackson turned 4 on August 24, it's crazy to think he's that old already! I made him chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of a 4 and J, a tradition from when I was little that I had to continue! My Mom also brought over a HUGE doughnut, which of course he just loved. We had a fun day together and then a family party that night with pizza, cupcakes, and presents. He said he had a great day, so it was all worth it :) Thank you to all who came and made it so fun. I love my little guy SO much!!

4th and such

The 4th is my very favorite holiday (which Josh just doesn't get and thinks is crazy), I just love it! I love parades and carnivals and fireworks and BBQ's, it is such a fun time of year! We went to the Clearfield parade on the 3rd and then to the spray park on base, then shopping for fireworks. Tanner was able to come with us and and it was so fun getting to hang out with him! On the 4th we had friends over for a BBQ and fireworks. On the 5th we went to Lagoon with our good friends Nick and Tabitha and had them over for yet another BBQ. We didn't go to any city fireworks this year, I just didn't think Peyton could handle it. It made me sad cause that's my favorite part, but we will definitely do that next year! Happy Forf :)

Race for the Cure 2010

Some of my very best friends and I participated in the Race for the Cure on May 8th. It was such a great experience, one that is sure to become a yearly tradition. Josh and the kids surprised me and came to support me; I didn't expect to see them there, it was such a great surprise!

Last week my sister and her husband had a wedding to attend so Josh and I had the chance to watch their kids, Elena and Xander. They live in Wyoming and we don't get to see them very often so it was nice to get to spend time with them. The kids played so well together and we had a great day! We went to a park near our house and had a picnic, can I just say how glad I am it's getting WARMER!!

I'm going to be a huge whiner for a minute, I apologize in advance...I have been sick since Monday and by now it is just getting really annoying! I'm all stuffed up, I can't breathe, I can't sleep, I can't taste, I'm achy, I haven't been able to workout - it is getting so old. How can I possibly still have so much junk in my nose when I have been blowing it every 5 seconds for 4 whole days? Worst of all, I have been the worst wife and mother ever. I haven't made dinner or cleaned the house all week, I don't feel like a fun Mom at all, I've been a big worthless lump.

My kids have been sick, too, which makes this even more sad and difficult. Sick kids are hard enough to deal with, but adding a sick Mom into the mix is just cruel and unusual punishment. The only positive thing I have to say about this whole crappy situation is that I have no appetite. Even if I did feel hungry, I can't taste anything so what would be the point in eating anyway? The only reason I've eaten what little I have all week is because I'm still nursing and don't want to completely deplete my milk supply. I just drink Sprite or water for my meals, with a cough drop for dessert.

I'm sure you wanted to hear all of that, I am now done with my rant. It feels good to get that out, though, I have to say. I hope you are doing better than I am :)

10 months

I really can't believe that it has been 10 months already since our sweet Peyton was born. She is such a joy and makes us so happy! I was late on her 9 month appt because we changed Drs. and we just had it today. She is such a tiny little thing!

Weight: 17 lbs, 14 oz (18%)
Height: 28 in (43%)

It's crazy to think she's that small since she's been wearing 12 month clothes for a while now and even some 18 months. Jackson was always small so I'm not at all surprised, it's just funny to think that almost everyone I know who has babies around the same age are bigger than her. I think she will be a petite lil thing, which is great since her Mama isn't and always wanted to be :) A few things about Peyton at this age:

*She is trying so hard to walk on her own, she took 4 steps yesterday!
*LOVES climbing the stairs and does it every chance she gets
*She laughs at herself and everything else, she's become such a little cheeser
*She is waving and clapping and is so proud of herself when she does it
*Peyton just adores Jackson and wants to be by him all the time
*Says Mama, Dada, and we swear that she says Kitty when she sees our cat
*She has started to get mad at us when we take something away from her and it cracks us up
*Just last night Josh told her 'no' for the 1st time and she stuck her little lip out and gave him the saddest look ever, which again cracked us up (are we mean or what??)
*You wouldn't know it since she's so small but she loves to eat

Gettin' Hitched

No, not me...my brother Cameron proposed to his gorgeous girlfriend Jill yesterday! They are ridiculously cute together and we are so happy for them! Josh knew Jill from a job in Logan and we actually set them up, so yes we are taking credit for this whole thing :) . They are getting married in June and I for one can't wait to have another cool girl in the family! We love you guys so much and are SO happy for you!!!

Dirty 30

I've had a lot of people asking if I've seen results with my first 30 days of P90X, and I'm happy to report that I have! I've only lost 4 pounds, but I've lost an inch off both my arms and waist, and 2 inches off my hips. Seeing results, even subtle changes, has really motivated me to keep going. It really is such a great workout, even if some (see Yoga post below) are way way too hard. I still have a long way to go, but am happy with the progress I've made so far. I can tell I'm stronger and can keep up with Tony and his evil minions so much more than when I first started. Thanks everyone for caring and keeping me motivated!

Christmas...a tad late

So I'm just a little tardy posting these pictures. We had such a great holiday, the Christmas season is so much fun with kids! This was the first year Jackson understood who Santa was (which came in quite handy while disciplining that's for sure!). He was so excited Christmas morning and would gasp at everything he saw and said 'Oh WOW!' at all of his gifts. Peyton was slightly less enthusiastic about the whole thing. We thought she would have a ball with all the wrapping paper but instead she would just tear a corner off and want to eat it - silly girl! Jackson and I made a Christmas Countdown because he would ask every morning how many days till Christmas. I mean let's face it, he's 3 and even after we made it he still asked all the time, but it was fun to have a visual and to have him countdown the days.

Torture!!

I have been doing P90X for a few weeks now and although it is intense, (dare I say extreme?) it's actually fun. That being said, there is one workout that it just a little outrageous. This little ray of sunshine is called YogaX and I freaking hate it. It's an hour and a half of downward this, and upward that and is pure torture! YogaX is the devil's workout and Tony Horton is the devil himself. Sorry Thursdays, I officially hate you.

As you may have noticed, I like to take pictures - mostly pictures of my kids. When we're at home and I'm bored or feel like we've had far too much Special Agent Oso for the day, I like to pull out the camera and take random pics of the kids. Jackson absolutely loves to take, be in, and look at pictures (which I LOVE!). As soon as we take a picture, he yells 'Lemme See!'. He even took the ones of Peyton and I and I think he's pretty good for a 3 year old!

We had family pictures taken a couple weeks ago, the 1st professional ones we've EVER done just of our family! It was way overdue and so much fun. My friend Heather Jones has a photography business and she took them for us. (Notice her button on the right-hand side of the page, go check her out she's awesome!!) Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, it's so fun to take the kids trick-or-treating and watch how excited they get. Jackson had me practice with him a few days before, just to make sure he got it right :) This year Jack was Spiderman and Peyton was a bear, they looked so cute. My sister Hilary and her kids came with us, and my parents came out with us as well and everyone had such a great time.

We were shocked to only have 3 trick-or-treaters come to our house, and 2 were our neighbors! I know we live kind of out of the way, but we thought for sure kids would find us if there was candy involved! We just kept the candy we bought to give out, so that was ok, but it's always fun to see what all the other kids are dressed up as. Oh well, maybe next year!

Pumpkins

Josh's is the haunted house, mine is the 'trick-or-treat', Jack's is the little monster, and Peyton's is the happy jack-o-lantern. We went to a local pumpkin patch the other day to get some pumpkins to carve for Halloween. Jackson had been talking it about for days and was so excited to get to pick out any pumpkin he wanted. We weren't thinking ahead and bought them too early to carve right away. We want them to still be good for Halloween so we're waiting till next week to actually carve them. For now they are just cute decorations on our porch steps! I'll post some more pics once we actually carve them!

At the little farm we went to they had old farm tools that Jack thought were so cool, those are the things he is standing in front of. Peyton was there too, of course, but she was sleeping so she didn't get to join in on the picture taking.

We blessed Peyton on 09/12/09 and it was so great! Lynlee and Gunnar came down and Rorke was blessed that same day, it was fun to be able to do that together. Sept 11, 2001 was such a scary day for me, I hope I never have to feel that way again. I remember I was getting ready for school when the 1st plane hit the Twin Towers and I was watching when the 2nd plane hit. It was truly terrifying, before that 2nd plane hit no one knew what was really going on. As soon as that happened it became apparent it was much more than just an accident.

I hope we never take for granted our freedom, and all those who give their lives to ensure it. This post is in memory of all those who lost their lives that day.

I took the above picture in July 2001 when I visited NYC with my cousin. I didn't realize that it would become more than just a tourist photo, but a reminder of what used to be and how much our country has changed since that day.

5 Years!

Josh and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary yesterday, I can't believe it has already been that long! My parents watched the kids while we went out to dinner and it was great to have some alone time (thanks so much Mom and Dad!!).

Growing Like a Weed

Peyton had her 4 month checkup the other day and she is getting so big! She weighed 13.5 lbs and was 26.75 inches long. Her weight is in the 50th percentile, and her length puts her in the 95th! I knew she was growing but I didn't expect her to be so tall. She's developing perfectly and doing all that she's supposed to. We love our little nugget!

Fun Weekend

Josh's parents were visiting from South Carolina and we had a lot of fun spending time with them. We don't get to see them very often so it was great to hang out with them all weekend. On Thursday we played at Liberty Park, Friday we went to the Hogle Zoo, Saturday we went to a fun spray park, and Monday we went to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was such a fun weekend and Jack had a blast playing with Gma/Gpa and Taylor. We love you guys and can't wait till we get to see you again!!

I have been slacking big time but am finally posting new pictures! Peyton is 2 months now and is getting cuter by the minute. She is such a happy, mellow little bug and we love her to death. At her 2 month checkup she was in the 75th percentile for weight, and 90th for height so she is growing like crazy! Jack was always so low on the charts so it's kind of fun to see her at the top. (Already comparing them, I know!) She is a very good sleeper which I ,of course, just adore. Jackson has always slept great and I was hoping she would be the same, turns out she is!

It was a really rough transition for me at first, going from one child to 2 - but now it is so fun and I love my kids so much! Josh is such an awesome husband and dad, I couldn't ask for more. He has helped me SO much, I don't know what I would do without him! Love you, Honey!! We feel so lucky and blessed to have 2 adorable, healthy kids.

Peyton Olivia Daley was born April 14, 2009 at 6:48 pm. She weighed 7lbs, 5oz and was 20in long. I was induced that morning and was in labor for almost 11 hours. It sounds bad but really wasn't at all! I mean, it was labor and that's no fun but compared to last time it was cake. When it came time to push I only had to push through 2 contractions and she popped right out - in fact she almost came out before the Dr got there!
She is such a good baby so far and we of course just love her to death!! Jackson is very soft and sweet with her, always wanting to give her hugs and kisses. He has been acting out more than usual but we're hoping that he is just getting adjusted to her being here and that it won't last too much longer! We are so blessed to have our 2 adorable kids!

Lynlee's Baby Shower

On March 21st my Mom, Hilary and I threw Lynlee a baby shower. We had a lot of fun planning it and she was happy with how it turned out so that's the most important thing. It's always good to see friends and family and everyone seemed to have a good time! Hilary made stencils and we painted onesies, they all turned out so cute! Lynlee's favorite treat is sugar cookies so we made lots and lots and I think I ate about 16 - I couldn't help it they were so good!! She is due May 31st and is having a boy that she is naming Rorke Clarkston Stierle. I really wish that she lived closer cause I don't know when I'll get to see him in person but I can't wait. Girls Weekend

Last weekend I went to SLC with my Mom and sisters for an all-girls March Madness Extravaganza Getaway. (My Mom called it something like that, I'm sure I didn't get it right!) Lynlee was down from MT and Hilary came down from WY for Lynlee's baby shower (pics of that to come) We decided there was no better time to get away from the boys for a weekend! We shopped and stayed in a hotel and played cards and ate junk food - meaning it was absolutely fabulous! We had such a good time, I love spending time with the girls!! I love you! It was over way too fast, but hopefully we'll get to do it again soon.

I was informed by Natalie that I seriously needed to update my blog. I have been aware of this for some time but apparently I just needed a little nudge (thanks Nat!). I really have nothing new to share, that's been one of the reasons I haven't added anything for a while. Until I have some real stuff, here's a few silly pictures Jackson and I have taken. I get bored a lot (as if you couldn't tell!), so I make Jackson take a lot of random, weird pictures with me.

Big Change!

I dyed my hair last week and wanted to show everyone the results. As you can see, it turned out SO dark!! I was not expecting to go this dark but I actually really love it. When I was looking at colors, the one I chose looked lighter than it really was and my hairdresser told me it would probably even go lighter than it looked because she didn't think it would grab on to my natural hair as well as it did. We were both surprised when it was done! Josh has always wanted me to go darker so he really likes it but was pretty shocked when I got home! It's taken some getting used to but I'm really happy with it. I went in to get a change and that's certainly what I got so I can't complain!

26 weeks

27 weeks

Just wanted to post a little update with some recent pictures to let you all know what's been going on. I'm 28 weeks along now and still doing great. Peyton is getting bigger (along with my stomach!) and kicking like crazy! Her kicks are getting a lot harder now but I love to feel her moving around in there.

I'm definitely feeling more tired lately but that's to be expected. I'm sure some of the fatigue comes from chasing after Jackson all day. It seems that lately he has more energy than ever and is constantly on the go, but it's good cause I get a lot of exercise! We still have a ways to go but so far so good.

Christmas pics - finally!

Christmas was so fun this year since Jackson is old enough to actually know what's going on. Josh and I loved watching him get so excited about Santa and stockings and opening presents. We loved it and Jack was so cute!
We did our own thing Christmas morning at our place, then went to Layton for a while to visit and open presents. That same day we traveled down to Orangeville and stayed for a few days since we never get down there. It's always so great to spend time with family!

Just yesterday I was saying how much I loved Jack's new bed and now I'm not so sure. On Wednesday he fell out of his bed while napping and hurt his arm. He would whimper when we picked him up so we thought it was just sore or something, and decided to see how it was the next morning.

Well, next morning came and he still acted like it hurt. It wasn't swelling and he was still moving it normally, but just winced every so often. We decided to take him to see the doctor just in case, we'd rather take him and have them tell us nothing is wrong than regretting it later.

They took an X-Ray and I felt so bad that I couldn't be in there with him because I'm pregnant. He was so brave and didn't even cry - although the nurse that held him said he was shaking pretty bad :(.

The doctor said it wasn't bad but put him in a sling just to be safe. The good news is that the type of fracture it is happens to be very mild and she told me that even if we hadn't brought him in, it probably would have just healed by itself. But since we know about it, she wanted to sling it as a precaution. We have to keep the sling on all the time except when he sleeps for 2 weeks just so it doesn't get jostled around too much.

To me it doesn't seem to do much good since Jack still uses his arm the same as he always did, but doctor's orders! He doesn't even seem to mind having it on, he just plays the same as always. I know this kind of thing happens to kids all the time but it's so much more sad when it's your own kid you have to see in a sling. Little kids look so sad in casts and slings and stuff. We aren't getting rid of the bed just yet - but one more fall and I might just have to put a mattress on the floor!!

You can't see the sling really well since he's wearing the same color shirt but you can see it enough that it makes me sad!

Big Boy Bed

Jackson is finally in a toddler bed and seems to be really enjoying the freedom! Josh changed the crib to a bed 2 weeks ago while I was out and he was watching Jackson. It's a good thing he just did it without me knowing since I would have never said Jack was ready for a big boy bed! Josh had been wanting to change it for a while now and I kept telling him no. I was so nervous that it would be a big hassle and that Jackson wouldn't stay in bed and that it would be hard (yes, I'm a baby!).
The first night we had to put him back in his bed twice, and he cried, but since then he's been great and has done a really great job of being a big kid and staying in there! My other fear was that he would roll right out since he moves a lot when he sleeps. Well, he's done that twice now - but I guess that's what happens sometimes! I try not to worry too much but I realize that it's a transition we had to make sooner or later.
All in all it's been great and I love that he can get out by himself in the morning and keep himself busy or come wake me up. He's getting so big sometimes I can't believe it. Josh was of course very pleased with himself but didn't even say 'I told you so' once (even thought I am certain he was thinking it! I love my boys!!

Our New Puppy

Lately, Jackson's favorite thing to do is pretend he is a puppy. He comes to me on his hands and kness with a toy in his mouth and likes to have me throw it so he can fetch it. I don't know why he started to doing this but it sure makes me laugh! After he fetches the toy, he'll stick his tongue out and pant and likes me to rub his head and say 'good puppy!'. He also likes to eat 'puppy snacks' which are usually just some Teddy Grahams or something. He is a funny little guy!

I don't know why this didn't work the other day but here are some of the ultrasound pictures we got. I know they're not the best quality but there's not much I can do about that, right? The face ones always freak me out a little bit but the Ultrasound tech said not to feel bad about thinking that - so I'm going with that. Enjoy!!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We had our ultrasound today and found out that we are expecting a GIRL!! We both thought it was another boy so we were surprised but SO excited! I love looking at Easter dresses and since she's due right around Easter, I can't wait to buy her one. The ultrasound was normal, she's growing and developing just as she should so we couldn't be happier. This is my belly at almost 20 weeks and will continue to update photos as I get more and more massive (yippee for me!) I tried to upload some ultrasound pictures and that didn't work so well - I'll figure it out and post them later.

Halloween Fun

I'm finally posting some pictures from Halloween. Jackson was a bat and looked so cute 'flying' around the neighborhood. We first went to our ward's trunk-or-treat but couldn't stop there and had to continue to raid our neighbors of all their Halloween treats! Jackson, Josh, and I had so much fun and of course he didn't want to part with his costume at the end of the night. Here are some of the pictures we took. We hope you all had an awesome holiday!

I was tagged a very long time ago by 2 Heathers to do the '6 things' and I'm finally doing it! The idea is to name 6 quirks about yourself and I have to admit that as I was writing them down I started to feel a little crazy. Anyone who knows me would probably say that it's too late for that, and Josh frequently tells me that I'm a little 'off', so these may not be all that shocking!!

1. For a long time, I've counted things in 5's. Like if I stub my toe on something, I have to go back and do it 4 more times. Or if I'm eating something that can be broken up I'll put them in little groups of 5's.

2. Speaking of putting things in groups, when I'm eating chips or fries I always have to separate them into piles of big and small - and then I eat the small ones first cause the bigger ones are way better.

3. I always have and always will LOVE to push buttons. I am not joking when I say that when I was a cashier it was the best thing ever for me! I don't know what it is, if I see a button - I just have to push it. Toy isles are the worst because I'm like an annoying child who has to make every car light up and every siren go. It drives people crazy, I know, but too bad cause I can't help it.

4. I absolutely hate the feeling of things sticking to my skin. Ever since I was little I remember just despising the feel of stickers or tape or anything like that being stuck to my hand. Eww, just the thought makes me cringe.

5. My pants and long-sleeved shirts must be extra, extra long. If my pants are not dragging on the ground, they feel too short and I can't wear them. Any shirt that has long sleeves has to be long enough so that I can pull it over my hands.

6. I usually make my bed in the morning anyway, but if for some reason it has not been made and it's bed time, I have to smooth out the sheets and put the comforter on perfectly like it was already made. When Kari and I were at Snow, she would always make fun of me for doing this. If it's not 'made' when I get in, I just can't stand it and feel yucky.

There you go, now you know how nuts I really am!!

The Big 2-5!!

My birthday was yesterday and I had such a good day! Kari is a doll and sent me these gorgeous flowers - they made me cry!
When Josh got home I opened my presents and was so surprised that he got me a Wii! I had been wanting one so bad but didn't think we would ever get one. He's so sweet and knows how to make me happy! He got me Mario Kart with steering wheels (because he also knows that's about the only video game I can actually play!!)

After I opened my presents we went to Red Robin with my parents and Cameron and Jared. My parents gave me this adorable new bedspread set, I love it and it matches my room perfectly! Jared was sneaky and paid for us as my present (thank you!) It was so fun and I loved being able to celebrate with my family! I also got so many phone calls and texts and emails and cards from friends and family - thank you so much, you don't know how much it meant to me!

Of course as soon as we got home we had to set it all up and try it out. Josh and I had so much fun playing together, and (gasp!) I didn't even get mad when I lost almost every single time. That's unusual for me, but it's so fun I didn't even care about who won. I want to tell Josh THANK YOU and I love you so much!! He knows how much I love birthdays and he made this one perfect. By the way, you're all invited to come over and play with us anytime!

Yay for Babies!

I went to my 1st doctor's appt on Friday and was lucky enough to be able to get a glimpse at our newest addition. I'm 13 weeks so the baby is only 3 inches long at this point and weighs just ounces. It was so neat to be able to see our baby, even though he/she is so tiny and you can't hardly see anything - I still think it was about the cutest thing ever. The baby had a strong heartbeat and everything looks good so far (thank goodness!) so that made alot of my initial worries go away. My next appt is on Halloween so I will update then. Here are the first pictures of Peanut (as the baby is known for now). My due date is April 13th so we've still got a long way to go but I've been feeling really good so I pray I stay that way!

Lagoon!

Last Saturday we went to Lagoon with the incredible Davis family and it was a blast! It was kind of a bummer for me since I absolutely LOVE roller coasters and couldn't so much ride them being pregnant and all! But alas, it was still fun to go and just be with everyone. It made it all worth it when Jackson would grin at us as he was riding some crazy kiddie ride. He wasn't happy the whole day as you'll see in the pictures!
We put him on a few rides when we first got there and he tolerated them but didn't love them. We put him on another one and he screamed as soon as we buckled him in. So after Josh and I each stood in line a few times (for at least 10 min if not more) and had to take him off of the ride because he was freaking out, we decided to take a break from that. After a whole day of walking around, playing games, and yummy junk food, we tried it again. I think by this time he was just sick of riding in the stroller because when we put him on the helicopters he loved it and all the rest and kept asking for more. So all in all it turned out to be a great day after all.
Thanks to our family for taking us and making it such a great day! We love and miss you always. And a special thanks to James for making sure the pregnant lady got her giant ice cream cone!!

Getting started

Since I don't have any news or funny things to post yet, I just wanted to share a couple of pictures that I like. We were trying to take some new family pictures to post on our Google webpage and this is my favorite of the bunch. We are going to get into a real studio sometime in our life but until then, Jared is our photographer. As you all probably know, Jackson just turned 2 so we had a party for him at my parent's house. It was so fun for Jackson (meaning messy!) and for all of us to see friends and family and just hang out. We love all of our family and friends, you're the best!!
